Enacting your heart's desire

Your heart’s desire lights you up in your body.  It comes from inside.  It connects you to your purpose in the world.

Powerful words, sound bites from a workshop I attended recently.  Tuning into what your heart desires is different from setting a goal, or making plans.  It is more intuitive, it is somatic, and embodied.  It lets you know what is most congruent for you, and therefore what is likely to energise and engage you if you let yourself connect to it.

I spent some time pondering ways to tap into heart’s desire, and came up with the following phrases to complete:

My heart sings when…

I feel free and effortless when…

I feel grounded and purposeful when…

I am myself at my best when…

I am most grateful for…

Why not take some quiet time, somewhere you feel peaceful and balanced, and tune into yourself.  Breathing deeply, tuning into your body, and relaxing, you might complete the sentences that are prompted above, and see what patterns emerge.  Try not to think about it too hard, just tune into your body and see what emerges.  You might surprise yourself.
